Living lab projects and frontrunners

Sustainable changes in the Netherlands, who does what?

We are working on a platform for educational and visual material about sustainable changes, testing grounds and sustainable islands. An overview of governments, idealists and companies that use the possibilities of the Dutch islands for sustainable developments and pilot projects.

Which other important living lab projects are being set up in the rest of the Netherlands and in the world?

Thema’s:

The project fits within transition thinking with an eye for nature and the landscape.

• nature and environment and water mobility, agricultural built environment, forestry/biodiversity and land use material and design

The above topics are covered in our education packs and our upcoming television/documentary series. The documentary Sustainable Islands is already available and provides a nice overview of what is being worked on and the run-up to the climate agreement in the Netherlands.

But what are the living lab projects and how do people work in the Netherlands? We're going to deepen.

The focus is on the environment and water management, biodiversity, agriculture/livestock breeding and materials with art and design. Innovations for a sustainable society Sea level rise has a major impact on the country with the islands. There are many developments of combination projects for energy generation with water, wind and sun and we see sustainable changes in the landscape. There is a greater focus on biodiversity in nature and the environment.

A lot is changing due to global warming. What are we going to do with this warming and sea level rise?

 What more can we do to combat global warming and sea level rise?

 How can we involve children and young people more and stimulate them to think along in solutions?

Collaboration and connection is desperately needed. We work on knowledge, bringing that knowledge out through film and media, art, design and education.
