TV/Documentary Series

A series with deepening of various subjects for TV, cinema and for education or knowledge dissemination. Sustainable islands is a project that is about what is going on around sustainable living lab projects in the Netherlands. By publicizing more about what projects and experiments are being worked on towards a sustainable society, we motivate residents of the Netherlands to think along and take steps themselves to combat climate change. To improve our living environment and save the planet. Two episodes about Sustainable Living Labs are currently in the production phase and the others are in development. Art and culture projects are woven into the episodes and we work on many of those projects with a team of artists, designers and architects. Vision: What are we going for? For the documentary Sustainable Islands, three years were filmed in the Southwest Delta and on the Wadden and a lot of knowledge has been gained. We want to learn even more about sustainable changes with our living labs. The collaboration of designers and artists creates an educational breeding ground that also involves local residents. This also ensures that everyone remains occupied with the question of how we can learn from each other and work together. The combination of art, film and design turns out to be very effective as an information resource. Episodes In the documentary series Sustainable living labs, frontrunners take you to the living lab projects they set up. The documentary leads us along the coasts of the Netherlands, but also inland for testing grounds with agriculture and livestock. In all living lab projects, attention is paid to the environment, water and biodiversity. The series starts with five episodes about nature, the relationship between people and nature, improving biodiversity and sustainable changes.

Kwade Hoek and waste monitoring

In this short film we follow from August 2020 what is going on around the nature reserve at the "Kwade corner".

A piece of Dutch coastal smoke on Goeree-Overflakkee that has grown very quickly and has become a rich nature and breeding area for birds.

An area that is also very vulnerable because of its location on the North Sea and at the mouth of the large water at the Haringvliet dam. Without the volunteers who walk there every day to pick up kilos of washed-up dirt, plastic and fish fluff, the area would have long since become a major garbage dump. We follow Geert and Elly Faasse in their struggle to tackle and expose this waste problem along the coast. -
